Not being able to count on the UI to be rendered correctly (or at all) makes it unexpectedly broken and randomly unusable. There are no other words for this, sorry. By making a statement about "every app that ships with 4.1.1 and 4.1.2" - you confirm my thoughts on this and more broadly about other Android APIs. Either you use them in a way that's closest to what the built-in apps do, or you run the risk of something breaking. Maybe it gets better in 4.2 or 7.1, but with so many new features being added all the time, I'm not getting my hopes up. -- K > There are bugs of course and still > missing features and we're working hard on resolving those issues. > > > For what it's worth, the edit text overlapping text bug was fixed > either in 4.1.2 or the version that will come after that. > And when you > run into hardware acceleration related bugs, please file bugs at > http://b.android.com so I can fix them. > > -- > Romain Guy > Android framework engineer > [email protected] > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google > Groups "Android Developers" group. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected] > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > [email protected] > For more options, visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers?hl=en > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
