Ask the users to reinstall. This always works - for hanging downloads, hanging installs, crashes on startup. I don't know if a re-install equals uninstall, cancel, install though - because if it does, you might quickly start losing money because of the chargeback feeds, especially if your app is less than $3, which is the chargeback fee.
