Thanks Mark None of these options work (apart from the downloading one). It's not really easy/possible to split the DB up in any sensible form nor can we spend 10 minutes constructing it at start up.
The app we're working on is expected to have more than a thousand downloads a day, and all that bandwidth is going to be very expensive (not to mention it's going to be for free).
