Right. Read the article I linked to again, pay careful attention to the parts labeled 'update'. Its not the "holiday update" as in it came out around the holidays. Its an update for the holiday-bonus phone, which is NOT an adp1.
(And all this could have been solved before it started if one of the googlers hadn't spent a week or so going "oh I know what that is, haha funny, I have a device with that, I wonder how it got out" without being willing to tell us what it was for..)
