I was considering the value of adding some form of GPS-based (pedestrian) navigation guidance for the blind to my application, but the ToS suggests that this could be in violation of the ToS when using Google Maps in this process. Actually I'm not sure what one *is* allowed to do with GPS at all, because even being notified of nearby shops etc could be seen as a form a "guidance" (assuming that the user is interested in shops). I'd be very interested in a clarification of what exactly one *is* allowed to do with GPS (rather than the negative formulation about what one is *not* allowed). Does one have to build one's own dedicated online Maps system to link GPS coordinates to points of interest? Or does the strong connection to "vehicles" in the ToS text, as in "products, systems, or applications installed or otherwise connected to or in communication with vehicles" mean that pedestrian navigation guidance is still allowed? The situation appears confusing and currently does not invite to doing further development work.
