On the upside: If Engadged reports correctly, and T-Mobile's CTO is
correct, the HTC Dream will be released for $399 a pop.
"buyers would be able to have access to a "contract free" G1 (with a
price point of $399), and could unlock the device with T-Mobile's
blessing after 90 days."
Although this kinda sounds like buyers still need to sign a contract
with T-Mobile, I hope this will allow people to import the device into
their home country. I guess we'll see. In any case, you are of course
correct - as has been the case before, lack of clear information puts
us up in the air. I guess in a few weeks time we'll see to it, to
conclude either "this is great" or "this sucks millstones".
