OK. I can confirm that Tetherbot still works on RC30 using Safari on Mac OS X 10.5.5. In fact, I am reading and posting to this thread with my laptop's (and my G1's) wireless connection disabled, and my only connection through USB to the phone. The 3G is not super fast, but adequate.
Note that only Safari is working--I can't get Firefox to work, but I haven't put much time in it. 1. On the "Safari" main menu, click "Preferences", then click the "Advanced" tab 2. Click the "Change Settings" button next to "Proxies" 3. Choose to configure the Proxy MANUALLY 4. Select "SOCKS Proxy" as the protocol to configure 5. Input "localhost" as the Socks Proxy Server and "1080" as the port. 6. Click "OK" on this screen and then "Apply" on the next screen Start surfing in Safari. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
