Razor, I was having a similar issue with my device, using an 8GB SanDisk card. I decided after a few days of application uninstall/install and one full device reset that I would simply format the SD card and that appears to be the solution (at least in my case). Since the fresh format (which I didn't do when I first got the card, I just plugged and played), I have had zero issues with saving to, reading/exporting from the SD.
This will be day 4 (formatted late Thursday night) of zero issues (knock on wood). I used the windows format utility and left all settings default other then naming the volume ANDROID. I probably could have done the quick format, but since the slow/full format only took approx 12-15 mins (I walked away and came back after about that much time), I figured I could wait. Just a thought, but maybe an SD format will do the same for you.
