My understanding is that Google (as a brand) doesn't really do any
external advertising for their own products, well apart their own
search ads and a few billboards.

I think this is more a proposition for the resellers/retailers of
android based products and the OHA for android in general.

But then what -is- the point or benefits of advertising an OS to the
general public ? Nil I think, how many Symbian ads have you seen on TV
lately...
