Not really. Have you considered the the apps:games ratio is skewed
towards apps on Android because it's easier to build useful apps?

The iPhone is kinda limited in what developers can do, but it does
make it easy to get the full power of the hardware. So it's got better
support for games than apps. Android is the reverse. However, it's
easier to extend Android to make it good at games, than it is to
revamp the whole iPhone app model to do the sort of things Android can
do.

In time, I'm sure this situation will resolve itself:

- More units == more potential sales
- Better hardware
- Support for apps to sdcard, and devices with more storage
- Proper JNI support for faster performance
- Fixing of bugs/design issues that cause stuttering, etc
