Currently the 'target market' is the technology enthusiasts as you say. The proverbial chasm will be bridged and mainstream adoption will begin once the adjacent device makers start to adopt android as the OS for PCs, remote controls etc. I'm bullish on android take up in mobiles given the global reach with open adoption across mobile and non mobile devices, across geographic boundaries , across many providers (telecom and non telecom) and across many languages. You simply can't compare this profile with iphone which is marketed as a consumer electronic device (good in ti's own right). I expect the takeup targets to be 13 to 30 aged, males.
