So there would be nothing to stop someone from removing the Market application if they so desired, be that a manufacturer/carrier or a 3rd party. Google's job is as an enabler to let these things happen, I dont see it as Google's job to produce multiple version of Android for different uses (consumer, enterprise, whatever). As Mark Murphy asked in another posting, is there a license implication with using ActiveSync? A license implication that goes against the Open Source nature of Android? Is that why HTC introduced their own syncing software (HTC Sync™)?
