lb you really need to chill out and do some research; Synergy is a word that's been in use since the mid 1600's and refers to the co-operative action of two or more components.
As for your point 3, it's nice that you share your views, but they are your views and many others find SMS/MMS/Twitter/Facebook useful. Learn how to use it and it is great. There are two big things to think about regarding multitasking... there are activities and there are services. Activities are typically UI elements and thus, if that activity isn't in the foreground, there is no reason for it to be active. Services run in the background. If you want to develop a program capable of demonstrating high multitasking, you develop it as a service and develop an activity to interface with it, that way the application continues to operate in the background when you close the UI. Of course, many applications aren't designed for background operation, and that is simply a choice of the developer (i.e., there may be no reason for the app to run in the background) and not a reflection of the platform. 3) Yeah, it wouldn't be too bad if the contact email address linked up with the email apps a little more strongly. Don't see any reason to worry about sms/mms nonsense though when you have full email capabilities -- they really are pointless. Facebook and twitter nonsense crap should absolutely be KEPT OUT. I don't want that crap anywhere near my phone, so if you really want them, add third party apps. 4) You seem to have missed the app labelled as "Google Talk" -- that is a native IM app. On Jul 17, 7:28 am, sonisoe <[email protected]> wrote: > well its easy, i guess... adapt palm-pre synergy and multi-tasking > convenience, and what htc hero or the rumored sony-ericsson rachael is > doing ie. communication convenience (you see a contact, and you can > easily see your communications with him/her be it sms, mms, email, > even facebook status, and twitter, i dont know about im though... even > i think htc & SE are already doing what palm pre is doing to some > extent ie. importing a contact's facebook photo to the contact dbase > on the handset)... oh one more thing i like about the palm pre is that > native instant messaging app... you dont have to install an IM app, > it's already part of the communication app and i think this IM app > autmatically checks if your buddies are online... --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
