Just for clarity, while it's true that all newer models lack a physical
keyboard, that doesn't infer inherent inferiority.
And yes, while it's true that there's a technical difference between the G1
and the ADP1, I'm sure everyone knows what you're talking about, in the
context, if you mention a "G2," instead of calling it the Android Dev Phone
2. It was quite clear what he was requesting when he asked about developer
phones and mentioned a "G2."

Finally, I hate to "feed the trolls," but calling people morons for make
guesses on something knows about isn't quite the best way to handle it
either.

Aside from all of that, I agree with you. The HTC Magic is unlikely to be
another developer phone, however, I could see something with the Sense UI
like the HTC Hero being another release of the developer phone. Someone
mentioned earlier that the ADP1 was out of stock and they weren't selling
any more. This could indicate that someone is about to release a newer
developer phone. My current plan is to keep my developer phone and allow my
fiancée to use it, under the requirements that she let me continue to
develop on it, and buy an unlocked HTC Hero, if indeed they don't release an
ADP2. I think that would suit me, well.
