At SlideME, we aren't entering ADC2 because of how ADC1 was handled. We received an indispensability percentile of 50-75% for an app manager, which we all know is complete rubbish. An app manager is the most indispensable application out there and any judge that couldn't see that shouldn't be in the mobile industry, much less judging mobile apps. I've always suspected that since we were considered competitive to some OHA member, we were given such low ratings because of it. It's hard to enter another contest with such doubts of tainted or incompetant judges.
A second problem with ADC1 was that Google closed up after that, just releasing the SDK to the winners, leaving everyone else behind the curve. That didn't sit too well with me personally. It took me sometime to get over ADC1 (even the mention of it would set me off). I enjoy the Android ecosystem, I just don't want to enter any more Google contests.
