To be honest I don't want to see any advanced DRM system on Android. I am also developing pretty popular apps (about 100.000 active users) and don't see the point in investing a lot of money into a system which will break 2 days after its introduction. (and it will break) I would say that 90% of the users don't spend the time on searching for pirated applications. I like the open system and I believe and know that good apps will sell well. At the moment we just don't see much high quality apps. Most of the apps look pretty nasty. Instead of complaining about warez sites we should keep on producing great apps making the Android plattform even bigger.
PS: The biggest drawback for sales is Google Checkout. It makes micro payment too complicated and needs much more payment methods.
