Yes, I am complaining and you're correct about 'shutting up' and developing my own apps.. :-)
I have developed a number of apps for Windows Mobile and had considered re-writing them for the Android. But I've had some difficulty getting Eclipse working... and I am not even convinced about the worthiness of the Android platform. The Android OS is clunky and slow! I doubt anything I would develop can be made acceptably responsive enough. I'm not willing to waste time only to be disappointed. Correct me if I am wrong. Please understand my frustration, I brought into the Android because I was initially convinced of its huge potential. I was attracted to its open framework, the ability to use a phone without the iPhone restrictions, etc. But after four months of problems, dealing with a carrier (Rogers) that refuses to update the 1.5 OS... I feel let down. This phone barely functions as a phone. Yes, I could hack it and I may do so when I have time. But my primary question is... is it worth the effort?
