These are NOT "the best of Android Education," these are the finalists
in that category of ADC2. Not the same thing.

ADC2 was a competition with very specific rules and restrictions,
foremost of which was a short development timeframe. It was announced
in late May and the competition closed at the end of August,
essentially 3 months. Before you say "I could easily write an app in 3
months", remember that this is the entire development cycle, from
concept through to a final, released product, polished and end-user-
tested. And most of us had day jobs at the same time.

ADC2 also had very... idiosyncratic rules about how apps would be
judged, leading to a very particular set of finalists - there's been
plenty of discussion of that in other threads here. Right or wrong,
it's another reason that these aren't "the best of Android", they're
the apps that best fit the rules of ADC2.

Judging all Android software on the basis of these apps is like
judging all Android hardware on the basis of the G1 (or any other
single handset). It's a VERY small and particular snapshot.
