Just read this article by a mobile phone developer on androidandme.com, which pretty much sums up many of the criticisms people have had about the Android Market since its launch...
http://androidandme.com/2010/01/news/how-does-a-developer-showoff-on-the-android-market-place/ The points in simple bullets: -Need an online storefront -Need sync of Market data for users upgrading phones (*surprising to me--does this really not exist?) -Better search function -Need a Promo Code feature -Allow paid apps in all markets -Better categorization/ranking system The article points out that Gartner says "Apple is now responsible for 99.4% of mobile app sales." Wow! Not sure what to say about that, other than Google and friends need to put their thinking caps on.
