There is also market breakage at issue. Apparently, the last HTC Eris upgrade broke the market. Customers who paid money for apps lost them and are unable to download them again, or even see them on the market. It seems to have something to do with HTC pushing an update without telling Google what the new OS signature is. The market won't show DRM'ed apps to devices whose OS signatures it doesn't recognize.
I'm getting support requests over this. No hint from HTC or Google when it's going to be fixed.
