2) Is a standard phenomenon of online stores, it's called the long tail - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_Tail Not sure why you would expect Google to just hand money over to you for nothing, or for Android Market to be different from all the other online stores and markets, but I wish you luck finding somewhere you're happy.
