Yeah, desperate. That was what I felt when I got the letter from them.

Cyrket shows about 75% of apps showing 3.5 stars or better.

5 star = 49%
4 star = 18%
3 star = 12%    <-- split = 6%
2 star = 7%
1 star = 15%

Basically if you app doesn't smell like a big pile of dog poopoo you
will get 3.5 stars or more. So the phrase

    "You are receiving this message because you're one of the top
developers ...."

seemed more like an insult to me  .... :-)

When they have $1M to throw away, I'd rather they spend a little time
and $$$ and fix the numerous Market problems that developers have
complained for a long time. How about using just 25% of that to hire
me as a consultant to fix the market :-)
