You might find your lack of sales on AndAppStore are related to two comments from people saying your app was defective on the Hero and SciPhone N21 which you haven't replied to (see http://andappstore.com/AndroidApplications/apps/363059!show ).

As I said before nothing an alternative market does can guarantee you sales, but if you don't support the alternative markets then the chances of the becoming viable alternatives becomes a lot smaller. It's a chicken and egg scenario.

As far as I am concerned the reachability is very much important. like Android Market, if you examine in that manner. I respect your intentions, but uptill now through SlideME I could only sale 1  copy of my application, while in AndAppstore 0 , in Android Market very much, because of Android Market is much reachable than SlideME or AndAppstore, so I recommend SlideME and happy with the action of including in some phone models in some countires. I am much OK with Android Market. If SlideME comes in  countries not allowed by Android Market, that would be great to see. and I think you should put your efforts in promoting SlideME rather then introducing a new Market. If you have the focus on a new market for top developers then , yes I am among top developer of Android application having more than 1.3 years of experience developing professionally for Android, my own application plus for big companies. I would certainly have interest in things for paid apps, and increasing sales in paid applications. If you model is good with increasing sales, then yes this work will be perfect :)

I think, SlideME has been growing and having  good contracts as some one named "George" posted in the forum that they have started contracting with Android manufacturer companies to include SlideME client in their manufactured phones. and I think if this happens good. SlideME will be my first priority.

Can you explain your plans in  this regard?
My plans in regards to getting ZappMarket on-device are none. I'm not sure what your specific reasons are for stocking an app on an alternative market, maybe SlideME is your best choice.

My focus is on helping top developers increase sales and to understand and communicate with their users. This involves statistics and reporting, running campaigns with different targeted users (country, operator, etc), mailing lists, getting apps under featured sections on the mobile client, changelogs in description, forward-locking support.

A lot of these things may not be important to the free app developer, I don't know. That's up to the community to tell me. But again, ZappMarket is not a general market, it's focus is not on a developer with free applications.

Thank You,
Abdul Mateen.

Thanks for the comments. I'm following the release early model to get exactly this feedback. The portal is pretty bare-bones now and paid app support has not yet been released.

I do want to point out a big emphasis is on the actual mobile client which looks much, much more professional (than SlideME's SAM) to the end-user, which is the primary interaction. We also have registration through the mobile client, allowing the user a much easier path to purchasing the app.

Thanks for checking it out,
Shane

Hi!

Just wanted to pitch in my two cents:  if you really are targeting
paying users (and therefore financed developers and users that like
style and substance) you may want to make your website a little more
professional looking.  Right now it seems to be huge grey text, a
centered logo and some buttons.  Not something I`d risk my app on (at
least now).

First impressions matter.  I think ZappMarket should clean it up a
little.
