(2) is where SlideME/AndAppStore got hit - no seemless download w/o the extra user intervention. But in other respects, Android is much more open than other platforms, where we used to have to get the app signed by the carrier to even allow internet access to the app. Those days are finally gone. So yes, there are private apis, but there seem to be actual reasons for keeping them closed, other than "You need to pay us money to use them" In regards to privates, it's clear Steve Jobs really hates MiKandi and porn. In the above article, Rubin seemed to have an elongated 'No comment' on the issue. > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "Android Discuss" group. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > [email protected]<android-discuss%[email protected]> > . > For more options, visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/group/android-discuss?hl=en. > > -- Shane Isbell (Founder of ZappMarket) http://twitter.com/sisbell http://twitter.com/zappstore http://zappmarket.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Discuss" group.
