I understand that getting a straight answer about a subscription model is extremely unlikely.
It would be unquestionably within the rules *if* you sold the subscription through the market. Ie Subscription Extender App, does nothing by itself, but will extend your base app subscription by six months, or whatever. I'm not saying that's necessarily a good idea.
