FWIW, I believe that the subscription model is permitted under the
Market terms. I've been told this by Googlers, and it's also evident
from high-profile apps like Pandora. The caveat, of course, is that
the Market has no subscription infrastructure itself; you need to
manage that yourself, generally through your own website.

Given your app requires substantial server infrastructure, John, have
you considered implementing a subscription model? I (and probably
others) would be interested to hear your thoughts.
