The feedback I sent to the Market team (I encourage others to do likewise) is to:
1. On the form, have a link to show an example of the image (show people what's expected in terms of content, and quality) 2. An explanation of why it's needed, and where it's used Hopefully once the new Market is up it'll become possible to make this clearer in the app form. Right now it makes zero sense to me to have to provide a 512x512 "icon", even on a 300dpi screen it's nearly two inches across!
