Yes, I'm still wondering that as well.

For the 512x512 icon, I did managed to get a properly scaled version
of my launcher icons from my graphics team. I sent her a bonus.

For the 1024x500 feature graphic, I pasted together a screenshot, a
picture of smiley happy people using my app in a pristine outdoor
setting, and a tagline with a value proposition and call to action. I
have no idea if that was all a waste of time.

Although they have given guidance on how to set one's rating, I don't
know how that one will be presented either. I'm thinking I can count
on the Android Market to screw that messaging up. Someone who prefers
less violent video games will suddenly wonder why they don't see
anything under the Travel section. Or someone just about ready to
install my app gets a scary warning that it might contain (gasp)
content objectionable to people under 10.

FWIW, I was just fine with my eight year old daughter using my app,
before the Android Market set me straight.
