My guess as to how I got on the list is that I have attended every
Google I/O event.  I do have a "popular" Android app and I do web
development (obscure NOAA climate science) in my day job, but I don't
think either of those are the reason since one is stated as not being
the intent of this device and one is, well, obscure.  I think they
figure that since I attend Google I/O every year there is at least a
chance I'm interested and knowledgeable in some sort of Web
development and might be able to build something interesting.

I brought it up again to the group because I thought it was funny that
they expressly said this particular device was not intended Android
development.  When they launch the SDK will we get another device or
an updated OS on the device so we can build Android apps or will they
not make a big deal out of native apps for the Google TV and focus
their developer advocacy on specialized web sites?  Beats me, but
that's what I was wondering about when I brought it up...
