I see your point, but we're on an Android mailing list, so I kind of read the
question as "why would anyone use a [Android] tablet [...]?"

And, clearly, DJ'ing and many other advanced music usages are not possible on
Android currently. Some things can be done with audio on Android (and I did) but
there are many limitations.

Right now, I'm afraid, in regard to audio support, that the ones who need to
learn lessons are the developers of Android itself. I'm not the one who could
give any such lesson, but I know for sure that it's not going right currently.

Then again, it's quite a bad example. It doesn't help the OP to understand what
an Android tablet could do. Audio is my main interest too, and with a few other
fellows with have created the Andraudio mailing list at:
http://music.columbia.edu/mailman/listinfo/andraudio

Audio isn't just any topic when it comes to what one can do on a tablet. Tablets
bring tremendous ergonomics and new opportunities for audio software. There even
is a professional iPad stand for drummers such as the iKlip:
http://www.ikmultimedia.com/iklip/features/

Let's face reality, audio is in a pretty bad shape on Android. Which is one of
the main reason why the Andraudio mailing list has been created: to analyze the
situation and possibly find solutions.
