I spent some long hours on LVL, and I no longer think it was a good investment.
The kicker for me is that Google's side of it isn't reliable, in my experience. By this I mean the ServerManagedPolicy, as well as the Market server. Between the two of them, you WILL deny access to paid users, in my experience. And they will complain on your Market comments, and THAT will cost you more sales than the occasional pirate - who quite possibly wouldn't have bought your app anyway. YMMV, of course, but my advice is: don't bother. Spend your time coding something worthwhile into your app instead.
