You have your full price F.

They have their sale price S.

The amount you get is max( 0.2*F, 0.7*S ).  So if they give it away for
free (without asking permission), then they can pay you 20% of your
original retail price per copy they give away. They don't even need to
ask; the only reason they ask is to get permission to pay you NOTHING.

So I guess this danger of piles of bad reviews can happen outside of
your control if you're on the Amazon market and they decide that your
app is good enough pull in new users -- and they'll be giving you 2/7 of
what you'd normally make per sale.

Overall, Amazon is not giving me a Warm And Fuzzy Feeling (TM).
