But looking on the bright side, when's the last time we had advance warning of an outage? Usually they just happen. If you wanted to be really proactive, I suppose you could put a notification at the top of all your apps' descriptions: "NOTICE: The Market will be unable to process purchases between 4-5PM PDT today. This is a Google Checkout issue and is unrelated to this specific app." Probably won't do any good, but at least it's a possibility this time.
