I consider sect. 3.3 of the agreement to address this currently. If you can
make the legal argument that what ever you are billing for is a separate
product from the app itself,  then it could be ok to use an alternate
service.  I assume subscription services might fall under that category,
while unlocking features, minigames, purchasing items would only be
augmenting the existing app, thus disallowed.  I also assume this would be a
per-app legal battle that would turn into an independent licencing agreement
if any substantial money was being made.

On the other hand, if google has legal language somewhere or argues that
they serve as a proxy distributor for any product distributed through an app
obtained on their market, then there may be no acceptable use of an
alternate in app payment client.

I am not a lawyer, btw, in case it wasn't obvious.  This is just what I
concluded when  considering the issue (i.e. That it sounds pretty risky and
not worth doing unless I wanted to pay a lawyer. And I dont have anything
planed for market release substantial enough to justify that cost.)
