For me, I take the approach of writing something that I want, as a hobby. Then I put it on the market. I have a vested interest in it because it is something I use. There isn't a lot of pressure because I look at it as a hobby...
I don't make a lot of money, but from a hobby stand-point, $35 - $50 per month isn't too bad...
