One of the sessions at IO made a good point about $1 apps; basically you have 
no ability to lower your price for special offers.

The session is now available on YouTube at 
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jT9cvFwB_6c, and the pricing section starts 
around the 20 minute mark. It makes some good points and so is worth watching.
