A bill has been introduced to mandate that we app developers have a
privacy policy. This could get complicated so we need Google's help.
My privacy notice would simply be "I don't do anything with your info
other than to verify you actually bought my app." Besides we get very
little info from Google anyway other than the name, city, email address
and order number. Amazon gives you even less, just the region of the
order not even the customer name or email. Congress critters are
notorious for their computer illiteracy but lawyers may be licking their
chops at charging you a lot of money to write you an air tight privacy
notice. Let's get Google to create us a free template if this bill passes.
