you must use datatypes from the datatype package, using MagicDraw you would not 
have this problem because you could just import the andromda profile, for 
example datatype::String



I would recommend leaving aside any bias and giving MagicDraw a fair chance, 
I'm very sure you'll quickly see all the advantages, between MagicDraw and 
Poseidon it's a clear cut case which one is better than the other; once you get 
used to modeling PIM models for MDA you'll learn the more fine-grain details 
about UML (I know I did) and you'll see Poseidon falls short in several areas.



with Poseidon you either add all the datatypes and stereotypes and tagged by 
hand, or just use the profile as the 'empty model' to start with
