How do I do it without mounted root partition?

My x86 Linux PC (kernel 2.6.18) sees the card OK (through USB
card-reader), Windoze sees the card OK on the hx2790. I don't have any
other hardware where I can attach the CF through PCMCIA to use the
pccardctl utility.
