I do not know if this will help but what I have done was to use a small portion of the sd card to point to the internal installation of cacko 1.23. Maybe this is a method to start the internal Angstrom/OPIE install

Very nice and the new S and R options are very useful. But unfortunately the new kexecboot still does not find Angstrom/OPIE (2007.12) on the internal RAM of my CL760. It detects the partitions on the SD card (also Angstrom/OPIE 2007.12, Angstrom 2007.12 with X, and Ubuntu) and I can boot them but it does not detect the OS on the internal RAM ... After booting from SD card there are some messages in the dmesg output regarding erase blocks but I'm sure if this has something todo with the problem: <5>Using static partision definition <5>Creating 1 MTD partitions on "sharpsl-flash": <5>0x00120000-0x007f0000 : "Boot PROM Filesystem" <6>NAND device: Manufacturer ID: 0xec, Chip ID: 0x79 (Samsung NAND 128MiB 3,3V 8-bit) <6>Scanning device for bad blocks <4>Bad eraseblock 32 at 0x00080000 <4>Bad eraseblock 2232 at 0x022e0000 <4>Bad eraseblock 3784 at 0x03b20000 <4>Bad eraseblock 7347 at 0x072cc000 <5>Creating 3 MTD partitions on "sharpsl-nand": <5>0x00000000-0x00700000 : "System Area" <5>0x00700000-0x03c00000 : "Root Filesystem" <5>0x03c00000-0x08000000 : "Home Filesystem" <6>pxa2xx_udc: version 30-June-2007 Is there anything I can do to solve or debug the error? regards Bernd Koen Kooi wrote: > Hi, > > There are kexecboot kernels available for various machine at: > > http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/demo/kexecboot/ > > Flash (or boot) the kernels as a regular kernel and on the next boot > you should be greeted with a boot selection screen.
