it'll *work* but the extra writes will wear out your card much faster
so best avoided.
I wish this FUD would go away and die, with modern decent card you will
be walking with a zimmer frame before ext3 manages to bust your card.
Especially if you mount it with 'noatime' or 'relatime', if you are
really adventurous you can mount it with 'async' as well to q up the
writes some more.
