Its effect is similar but while the current ACL support in ggaoed is
static (it is defined in the target's configuration), the new MAC list
feature is dynamic (it can be changed remotely).

It is similar, but not identical: the MAC mask list (and ggaoed's ACL
support) effects every AoE command, while the reserve/release list
effects only data read/write.
