Hi Guys I need to make a decision for going with a technology for a SAN for our VMWare ESXi environment.
I would very much like to go with AoE but I need to know that the standard is open and that there is no vendor lock-in. Does the CORAID HBA which has drivers for ESXi allow me to connect to a linux server running vblade? I would like to do initial testing with a linux box before making a decision. I can easily start a iSCSI target and test but AoE seems a bit complicated in that I need a HBA, and then I still have not confirmation if this HBA will work. Regards
