I agree with Tom, almost my thoughts exactly.

Not to start a flame war here, but i have a feeling that all effforts
about involvement of public community into
AOLServer project are more PR action than something AOL needs for
aolserver project.
Except bugfixes, the direction and functionality are all controled and
driven by AOL, allowing
features that AOL needs for their internal projects where aolserver is used.

How many features from pubilc community were added to aolserver in the
last year?
Mostly bugfixes?

I still use it and think it is superior webserver but something feels
not right.
And naviserver name is a good name.
