I *really* understand your concern, and I think you are totally right.

"Why are you on Github if not for this? With regard to accepting patches are you worried about losing control of the licensing (if you wanted to do an "enterprise version")?"

I didn't have any "pull request" since a very long time. And btw, no, we really don't plan to write an entreprise solution .... Im just a lazzy guy. We don't give a shit about what you are calling "licence". (Don't make me angry).

  Hi,

You are right Andrew. Since a few month we have slowed down the
development of the project caused by some issue with our company
(indeed, building a company based on an open source software is not that
easy and involve a lot a money issue) and we are not involved on the
community anymore.
I can understand that its tricky (I've been involved in a similar thing
in the past), but you can't let your community stagnate or once you're
finally ready to engage with them they'll all be gone.
Moreover, there is no "legal" place to post patch/issue and so forth.
Why are you on Github if not for this? With regard to accepting patches
are you worried about losing control of the licensing (if you wanted to
do an "enterprise version")?
For what is worth, I can tell you that I'll start to work again on the
project in a couple of weeks, to *finally* release the 1.01 and try to
look at what has been provided by the community.
Good, I hope you can figure out what works for you with regard for
getting patches into APE because I, for one, would be interested in
contributing more in the future.
Btw, I started to work (from scratch) to the 2.0.

Why did you feel the need to start from scratch? APE isn't perfect (the
crazy recursive macros used to do callbacks come to mind) but it seems
relatively solid and readable (at least the server, the JSF doesn't make
any sense to me). It also seems to perform very well.

Anyway, thanks for the answers, I hope you figure things out soon.

Andrew
