Hi there,
x...@benissa:~/src/apertium/apertium-es-ca$ echo "La falta de agua
provoca sed" | apertium es-ca
La falta d'aigua provoca sigueu
It should be "La falta d'aigua provoca set".
I know that this is a tagger problem (vser is preferred to n) but it
seems it should be easy to choose the other one.
I think there should be a forbid rule for imperative verbs. Imperative
verbs (such as "sed") do not appear next to other finite forms of verbs.
They may appear away, when there is a subordinate clause, as in
"sed como él era" (be like he was)
but not next to each other.
There are a lot of forbid rules for VBSERIMP (sed is a VBSERIMP in
addition to a NOMF) *after* a verb but we need something like
<label-sequence>
<label-item label="VLEXPFCI"/>
<label-item label="VSERIMP"/>
</label-sequence>
or
<label-sequence>
<label-item label="VLEXIMP"/>
<label-item label="VSERIMP"/>
</label-sequence>
these two would rule out "sed.VSERIMP" after "provoca.VLEXPFC" or
"provoca.VLEXIMP".
Perhaps these forbid could be made more systematic after closer
scrutiny. There is no reason for a VLEXIMP either to appear after any
VLEXPFCI or VLEXIPI, for instance.
Any takers?
Mikel
