The original is English written by a Dutch native speaker. Yes, the language is a bit weird in English, and probably in Swedish too and probably in most of the languages, but it's a lot less weird than the block world text. > Besides: there's a fundamental problem with the story. You could think of it like the "oracle", how good could we get the translation to be if we implemented all the possible rules. Of course if you want a real-world evaluation, you need to use separate texts, but it doesn't remove the value of having an "oracle".
