Hi Adrien, Although I didn't read the lists too regularly in the last time this is not the reason why I did not respond to this post. I thought I'd leave it up to the artists because I know nothing about art. There are not so many artists in the APPEAL group and those who are are surely very busy with art for the upcoming KDE 3.5 and last but not least Oxygen, so please don't blame them. Maybe you picked the wrong mailing list. APPEAL wants to bring breathtaking beauty to the desktop and as far as I can say as a non-artist your mockups fit in there absolutely great. They look very beautiful and polished.
However you may consider posting into the kde-artists list instead and
interest more people in it. Maybe even people who don't yet contribute to KDE
gfx in such a time-consuming way as the artists in APPEAL do. But with your
ideas you really can interest others for this stuff and maybe form a small
group that makes these ideas real.
Such a project could easily be an APPEAL project, but don't expect the people
that are already loaded with work to spend even more time on artwork for KDE.
Sometimes the way into KDE is a little strange... but the one way that always
works it to go, pick a project, and make it real :)
