Sorry, the location of the what ?
Sure we want a content broser, but it's not easy to get rid of hierarchical 
stuffs if you're not sure to what extent it will be content based and if you 
ignore the way the filesystem works.
There are interesting proposal though on kde-artists.org about an astract user 
filesystem (find it

The box to drag in is the preview ! You put in what you want the way you want. 
Whence the caption : "Design the FileFinder's interface by dragging and 
dropping elements"
However more defined areas also means more clutter. There should be a balance 
betwin pure usability (in which every sigle thing should be obvious) and 
aesthetics.
