That would be a nice enhancement if tapping the month-year or maybe
today's date would bring up the date scroll wheel. If you wanted a
date in the future, it would make it easy to spin for the month and
year. Having the calendar is great for dates within a month or two. As
well, I often date items in the past to force them to appear at the
top of the list. I can get to yesterday with to taps (one on the date
and one on the calendar day).
